Fully mature. Tea leaves and forest floor, tart red fruit, mushroom. Good but may have been better 5 years ago.

1989, This masterpiece from Echezeaux matured beautifully, after 26 years it is still lively and rich. Tasted double blind, so we all though younger:-). Lovely ruby color, rich complex nose, raspberry, red current, cherries, leather, mushrooms, full body, with smooth round tannins, rich texture, elegant and complex. A lovely long delicious and elegant finish. A true pleasure. My score 92, drink to 2019, most probably longer.

1976- One of the older vintages I had so far from burgundy. Proving burgundy's ability to mature. The wine is 39 years old, alive and kicking. Though I prefer my wines younger and more lively, this one was special. Red orange in color, nose of dry tea leaves, leather, wet soil, mineral, dry plums, and a light hint of dry red berries, full body with soft tannins, lovely acidity, impressive finish. If tasted blind no chance I would have guessed the age. My score 89, drink up

Light brownish and cloudy in the glass. Interesting almost young and definitely sweet nose. Ok in the mouth and short finish. Better in the nose than after. Got better with air but was always light and a little disjointed. Nice nonetheless.
