Oh lordy. My last bottle of 2004, and it is singing. Big and rich still. Incredibly youthful. Classic Raveneau.

Drinking well. Soft and round, yet with classic Chablis sharpness tucked inside.

Raveneau, 2004, one of my favorite vintages, mineral and just starting to show it's age, texturally gripping and vibrant

At 10 years old just now showing signs of secondary development. Raven ray continues to excel in unexceptional vintages.

Bought on release, $89.95, it’s gorgeous—but so tight at 21 years of age—surprisingly so. Fruit takes a back seat to acidity and structure as well as chalk and minerality. I really like this wine and it will live decades but tonight I’m happily sacrificing a little tooth enamel.
