Yellow gold, nice weight. Offers a nose that is textbook Raveneau Chablis. Sea shells, lemon, wet river stone, some honey and a little cardamom spice. Fruit forward. Fruit builds with air. Impactful finish. Lucious. More fruit than acidity. While great tonight this is still on the upslope.

The thing about Raveneau is at once it is both quintessential Chablis and an outlier, so consistently full, long, deep and full of dimension yet not shrill or overblown. It's in its own class. The sheer magnificence of this mature Blanchots, the aromatics, the intensity, the texture, the length is all quite perfectly aligned with the wonderful service and cuisine at Little Bird. Oily citrus, cereal dust, saline, ginger, lemongrass creme, subtle spice, this is what gratitude tastes like. Thank goodness for chicken fried trout and Raveneau.

I have had better examples a little more evolved with honey notes.
