La Garenne Sancerre Sauvignon Blanc

Pale lemon in color with a light green hue.

On the nose green apples, grapefruits, spices, limes and minerals.

Medium bodied with medium plus acidity. Crisp and refreshing.

Dry on the palate with grapefruits, limes, green apples, white pepper, herbs and light earth.

Tangy finish with limes and lemons.

This is a nice Sauvignon Blanc from Côtes de Gascogne in the Loire. Nicely balanced with nice acidity, and feels very New World in style.

Easy drinking and good by itself or with food. Showing mild complexity.

Paired nicely with a nice pool day.

Very light on the nose. Lemon, green apple, slightly unripe white peach with a hint of creamy essence. Mouthwatering acidity. Medium finish. Very nice and enjoyable but not very complex.

Flint, gooseberry, guava/passion fruit, wet stone, green jalapeño and sustaining acidity.

Limestone, grass, pear, yum.

Riper than expected, but still a great example.

An amazing wine---everything that you expect to be there but in a perfectly blended offering. Every aroma was clear and distinct, yet each played a supporting role to the others. A super effort by this small production, family owned vineyard.

I like. Maybe high in $$ then I would pay. Sour on the nose but go for the palate.

Multi dimensional fruit, spatial energy, nuances that elude most other Sancerre’s. Lacks the last degree of mineral density and tension.
