Domaine Faury
Saint Joseph Blanc Marsanne Roussanne Blend
Nose is a little simple and eccentric, with banana, raw honey, soil and green apple notes. But then the palate does have a good texture, pleasant acidity and a savory, lasting, yeasted cake quality. A little off dry. Nice framing minerality.

Mar 25th, 2022Popped and poured; no formal notes. This is a hugely floral wine; yellow flowers and honey suckle. Low-ish acid. Lovely with brandade.

Jun 10th, 2019The Faury Saint Joseph rouge is clearly one of the best Syrah values out there but don’t sleep on the blanc, which also happens to be among the most enjoyable northern Rhône whites I’ve ever had. Forget Condrieu and Hermitage blanc and buy this instead. Actually, forget I said anything

Jan 13th, 2019Some Saint Joseph blanc going with Faroe Island salmon tonight, cooking away in the sous vide water-bath. Technology makes great meals!

Jul 27th, 2017Almond flour, white flowers, a hint of pineapple on the nose. Mouthfeel is really silky smooth, tropical fruit flavors. Lower acid than what I typically prefer in a white. 55% Marsanne, 35% roussanne, 10% Viognier
