Saint Joseph Blanc Marsanne Roussanne Blend

Nose is a little simple and eccentric, with banana, raw honey, soil and green apple notes. But then the palate does have a good texture, pleasant acidity and a savory, lasting, yeasted cake quality. A little off dry. Nice framing minerality.

Popped and poured; no formal notes. This is a hugely floral wine; yellow flowers and honey suckle. Low-ish acid. Lovely with brandade.

The Faury Saint Joseph rouge is clearly one of the best Syrah values out there but don’t sleep on the blanc, which also happens to be among the most enjoyable northern Rhône whites I’ve ever had. Forget Condrieu and Hermitage blanc and buy this instead. Actually, forget I said anything

Red fruit, white pepper

Floral, slightly starchy, rich and grape-y mid palate, grassy finish. Quite nice.

Almond flour, white flowers, a hint of pineapple on the nose. Mouthfeel is really silky smooth, tropical fruit flavors. Lower acid than what I typically prefer in a white. 55% Marsanne, 35% roussanne, 10% Viognier

Expected more. Maybe the bottle or my taste buds are off today

Def some weight & viscosity to this one that comes from the grapes. I love their characteristic waxy white flower & apple & honey & thought this paired beautifully with shrimp creole!
