@Ted Mandes @Steve Colanero @Christine Christine's WOTN. Such an elegant example of a superb old world wine. This was next to an Aubert PInot and the differences were amazing! Balance, harmony, integration, beautiful subtle notes vs. the Aubert Pinot. Christine stated that she preferred this to Aubert! Amazing bottle. I'm not sure how much evolution can be gained from further aging. I think it reached its max. Stunning!

Tawny but still looks a little young with a light reddish purple center. A big "direct to the brain" nose of rose petals, dried cherries, violets, spices and plums. Soft and rich fruit still matched equally by the acidity and structure. The experience with his wine built over several hours. Kept building right til the last great taste. Can't remember ever tasting a better Musigny.

This is part of a series of wines i have had the honor of drinking and were shared with my family, they have ended up on the mantle piece. Many more are missing but i wanted to create an archive... This is not being posted to make anyone jealous. I'm just part of a wine family and of course many friends share some precious gems with us.
