Domaine Faiveley (Joseph Faiveley)
Joseph Faiveley Chambolle-Musigny Pinot Noir
Fresh and alive; red fruit dominated stuff with an expansive mid-palate, finishing with bright fruit and wonderful drinkability.

Jul 23rd, 2014Ok but not much more. Over dinner no formal notes. I am at a point we’re old Burgs are increasingly risky and not a good bet any more.

May 10th, 2019Lovely 2012 Chambolle-Musigny. Nicely in balance. When poured in the glass an intense bacon fat aroma welcomed me. It opened up to some nice red fruit, after a couple of minutes. Great effort by Joseph Faiveley

Aug 23rd, 2018Leads with an animal meaty nose that gives way to nice to rose and violet scents with ripe black cherry flavors and some chambolle delicacy. Still, a bit big given the vintage and that meatiness creeps in. Drink soon.

Nov 27th, 2017Nose had hints of liquorish and mushrooms behind the red fruits. Body quite powerful and structured and long finish. Complex and still elegant. JL private tasting 9/22/16. $75.
