Domaine Faiveley (Joseph Faiveley)
Clos du Roy Mercurey 1er Cru Pinot Noir

Not clean, pure. Disappointing as the La Favorite 2016 bottling was delicious.

2017
The nose has berry fruits and some spice
Has good balance and nuanced delicate tannins with good length and finish.

With @Clement Leroux - the complexity of the Faiveley outperformed the rippon. Higher acidity but younger, intense blackberry and raspberries, light leather notes and hints of vanilla. I want more!

Oct 19th, 2018A nice earthy red Burgundy Pinot! With high acid and tannin. Balanced very well to give a fantastic good pairing wine. Lovely aromas of earthy root vegetables and herbs.
