Not clean, pure. Disappointing as the La Favorite 2016 bottling was delicious.

2002. Great structure. Depth and intensity. Still a hard wine from tannin

09 vintage. Frizzy, fruity with a bitter end. But i like it

Light medium ruby , wide pink rim . Fresh rose , raspberry , strawberry with hints of hedgerow. On the palate mostly ripe , light red fruits , strawberry and raspberry mostly with good freshness and just a hint of spice . Ripe but lightly gritty tannins, fresh sappy acidity . Medium length . Lovely now and over the next 5-8 years . Not complex or thought provoking but pure , fresh and enjoyable.

The nose has berry fruits and some spice
Has good balance and nuanced delicate tannins with good length and finish.

With @Clement Leroux - the complexity of the Faiveley outperformed the rippon. Higher acidity but younger, intense blackberry and raspberries, light leather notes and hints of vanilla. I want more!

Good value.
