Really nice balanced Bourgogne. This is always consistent for me.

Nose has lightly toasted brioche, recently washed lemon, lemon pith, dry limestone, pineapple core and yellow apple peel.

Palate has lime pith, squeeze of lemon juice, slight waxy notes, pulverized limestone and lingering ripe tropical fruits.

Medium finish, feeling like the concentration is coming up short, still enjoyable. 90m decant, we'll see how it evolves over the evening.

(Soured 100% from Meursault, seven separate vineyard plots.)

*R.I.P. Ellis Marsalis, "Bucky" Pizzarelli, Manu Dibango, Bill Withers, Kenny Rogers and Joseph Shabalala. It's been a tough few weeks of losses in the music business. Stay Safe out there everyone.

Very nice Bourgogne blanc...tart lemon lime, green apple, peach...acid and mineral all present with a nice baking spice finish. Actually could age awhile....impressive..paired with creamy chicken pot pie...

Nice value for a white burg. Nose is immediately identifiable: toast, wet Burgundian earth, lemon oil, butterscotch. Lean in the mouth, without a lot of fruit. But lots of intense minerality and very nice acids. Good length. More class and character than 90% of white Bourgognes.

Pop and pour. No orange juice concentrate note! Needed 1.5 hrs to unfurl, but it became a rather generic oak dominant chard. Not bad.

“ Forget about the Bourgogne Blanc designation on the label and treat this brilliantly textured and intense Chardonnay like a Puligny-Montrachet or Meursault. Why? Because it’s both!” - Ian Cauble Master Sommelier. Decant for 30-60 minutes. Serve at 55• $32
