Had the other night. Little muted. Cherry/raspberry fruit with chalky minerality, medium tannins and nice acid. Nice steak wine.

Very pleased this wine finally came around. It was closed and, dare I say, harsh when it was very young. Delicious and heady now.

Magnum for one?! I hope you can see the palm-forward middle finger in the reflection, because like Kid Rock, I'm a cowboy baby, and this large format Cote de Rhône is a wild stallion I am determined to break.

Mar 31st, 2020Used to be one of my go-tos in the early 2010s, but not my favorite these days, especially given the competition for the price.

Black cherry and berry, jammy, slight dried herbal notes, lightly muddied. Jammy, plush palate, spice nuances, balanced with medium tannins that are dusty and perfectly integrated. A beautifully round mouthfeel in this affordable package that stole my heart! Elodíe Balme pretty much does everything herself.

A bit too jammy for me (Grenache) want more of that pepper from the syrah! The fruitiness is a bit ripe and comes off as sweetness. Okay. May go well with my sushi🤷🏼♀️

Easy drinking cdr. Nice plum, metallic nose. A hint of pepper on the palate (Syrah) along with red fruit jam (grenache?). Moderately short finish. Less than 10€. What else?
