Displaying subtle violet and herb de Provence on the nose with blackberry, black cherry, black plum, cassis, licorice, black pepper and spice on the palate. Juicy, dusty, with integrated tannin. In the bouquet, licorice, scented cherry candle, ruby red grapefruit.
Silky soft, pillowy mouthfeel. Fruit, tart, smoke, tar, roses. Medium to full body. Rich and volcanic.

Nose after 1 hour decanting was very suttle black currant with leather. First taste was bold fruit with little length. Very much like a immature Cali Zinfindel. Once it opened up some more and accompanied by NY strip and rosistto the boldness reduce and back end tabacco finish appeared. I can appreciate the process used to ferment in concrete vats has not masked the fruit with wood or smoke undertone.
