This Lirac rouge is a beauty. Grenache dominated with 40% Mourvèdre. Displaying subtle violet and herb de Provence on the nose with blackberry, black cherry, black plum, cassis, licorice, black pepper and spice on the palate. Juicy, dusty, with integrated tannin. What a gem,💎 and it goes with soy sauce based dishes so well. I promise you, once you try it, you won’t be able to stop sipping and eating! 😉🍷🥢

Feb 13th, 2019In the bouquet, licorice, scented cherry candle, ruby red grapefruit.
Silky soft, pillowy mouthfeel. Fruit, tart, smoke, tar, roses. Medium to full body. Rich and volcanic.

Apr 3rd, 2019Blind tasted and was stumped. Very like for a cdp with excellent balance between earth, spice and fruit. Relatively low in tannin (makes sense given the high proportion of Grenache and no Syrah) and medium body. I got a decently plummy fruit profile mixed with earth and a bit of baking spice. Very drinkable and refreshing.
