Methinks the ‘16 Rodano Chianti Reserva outdid this in terms of gamey ness, which is a compliment: gorgeous fruit here, light on bacon fat, very powerful but still svelte & tamed. Sure, another 12-15 years to go, but so generous at its 6year mark. What a treat

Great showing for this. Nose is bright berry fruit, green olive, some granite and only a hint of funk. Palate is elegant, juicy and dense with terrific, pure and very ripe fruit. Elegant and long. Really compact and just lovely purity.

I think this rides the line between traditional, rustic Cornas and New wave all together while holding on to its southern origins well. Upon opening its volatility coupled with a kiss of brett and reduction gave the impression that this was going to be a wild and savauge syrah with meaty and funky sweaty notes about. The slightest hint of CO2. Microbiologically active for sure. Fruit was very subdued. Couple hours of air started to release some more primary aromatics. Day 2 is a completely different wine, brimming with friendly and ripe red/black fruit, granite, florals, musty/bosky elements, licorice, iron, sweat, animal. One of those wines were I wanted to mark it down a couple notches but I loved the intrigue it had while remaining so quaffable.

Lovely wine. Stellar aromas. Huge dark berry fruit, hint of Brett, lovely herbs and cassis. Red fruits as well. Lovely granite and just so clean. Palate is stellar and so juicy. Incredible freshness, purity and wonder depth. Great wine and so so 2016.

This is as early drinking Cornas as there is. In the same mold as Vincent Paris 30. Terrific nose. Big black fruits, some earth, some leather, some olives, spices. Very giving and aromatic. Juicy and complex with wonderful definition and a sense of linearity. Terrific acids, finesse and freshness. A bit young but not inaccessible. Great structure for a promising future.

Light for Cornas and lacked some stuffing on the palate. Not unpleasant but wanted more out of it

Awesome. Violets on the nose. Dense violets. Juicy as all get out on the palate. Licorice. Medium dark fruits. A medium drinker but nothing wrong with that. Perfectly made. Not a hint of Brett. Paired well with a shell steak. Bought from Fass selections.

Most poopy, bretty wine I've ever had. Not good Garagiste.

Soaring nose of violets, spice, leather, olive, game and soil scents. All wrapped together and presented beautifully. Stunning aromas. Real depth and class. Palate is dense but focused more on the red fruits than black, but in no way less dense or structured than what is essentially very much Cornas. Firm stony tannins and closed somewhat on the palate for now, but the freshness and acid/mineral/sneaky fruit on the finish suggest a nice long life. Needs a 2 hour decant.

Pop and pour. A little over 5 years since my last btl. Here are the notes from that tasting: Decanted. Definitely drinking well now, but was better with about 30 minutes of air. Great nose, showing candied bacon, flower pollen, something green/herbaceous (maybe stem inclusion?), and loads of black raspberry. Well-balanced acidity, and medium bodied, with a suggestion of fat; red raspberry and cranberry on the palate. A fine coat of dusty tannin on the finish. Yum.

Today: maybe there is the slightest hint of leather, but the old note is spot on. Plenty left in the tank, but still drinking very well.
