From the northern end of the Grand Cru area, the smallest area, with mineral soils. A tough growing season starting out cold and heating up in August had limited yields, but not quality. Pale gold with fragrant aromas of fruit, floral and nutty spices. Aged for 10 months on oak, flavors of apple and pear wrapped in well integrated acidity. Great mouthfeel, well balanced ending complex with fruit and minerality.

2008 Preuses—never had this producer—Domaine Dublère. Not sure why I bought it but it’s a pleasant quaff with a bit of oyster shell, lean citrus, decent acidity. Not much more to say. Anybody a big fan or know more?
