Domaine du Vieux Lazaret
Châteauneuf-du-Pape White Rhone Blend
Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Southern Rhône, Rhône, France
Viscous and glass-clingy, color is deep purple (!); ripe blue plums, red cherries, and blueberries, minerality, lavender, and somber oak notes; rich and structured with high alc (15%) and acids but softer tannins, very fruity like plumjuice, mouthfilling but very dry and short on the finish. These half-bottles should no doubt rest longer, but they don’t last long in my cellar.

May 22nd, 2021This 2017 sings! Grapefruit covered in a delicate honey glides along a lemon zest and a juicy golden apple that fills the mouth. Strong finish with this wine. This will certainly develop for 3-5 more years, but go ahead and enjoy it now.

31,90€/0.75l Alko.
Happy to find out my taste isn't expensive, at least when it comes to this wine. Just average in my books regardless of the price, and not a good value once you compare to the sticker price.
