Medium Ruby color with aromas of ripe black and red fruits and smoky spice. On the palate flavors of cherry, plums and ripe red berries with herb, licorice and smoky pepper spice. Fine soft tannins with, medium+ finish ending with fruit, mushroom, tobacco and earthy notes.

A great year. A great region. A wonderful outcome. CDP at its finest.

Not the same oomph as previously tested half-bottles, 2011, 2015; rather one-dimensional in fruit, acidity, tannins, finish.

Elegant as always, plums, herbs, thyme, charcuteries on the nose; high acids, tannins, and alcohol but well balanced.
Contains GSM grapes plus counoise and cinsault; don’t know the percentage but syrah notes dominate the nose.

Not the most exciting CdP. A little clean, a bit light but a decent example if not particularly thrilling.

Clear medium ruby color; dark fruit, leather, spices, and dust on the nose; tight high alcohol weak on mid palate (low on tannins and acidity) and finish is low in the mouth but rather long and medium-intense. I have to try more mature wines.
