Les Ermitures Gamay

Loving Gamays these days. (Especially not overly gamey Gamays.) This one's a vin de pays, and natural, as the guys at Wildair like their wines.

Vibrant, fresh squeezed cranberry sour Starbursts and oh so god damn smooth. The kind of wine that fills you with so many butterflies you'd swear you were a virgin again.

Crazy. Just the right amount of age and served flawlessly at the perfect (cool) temperature.

Needs a bit of time in a decanter to shine but once the slight funk blows off there's plenty of elegant red fruit to be found. Refreshing, mineral, would love to see this in 5-10 years

Eating maraschino cherries in the forest? Really smooth mouthfeel. Changed a lot in the glass. Grapes harvested late?

This is on the verge of becoming vinegar, while also having oxy tendencies. Not great.

Rather acid but very fruity in the same time... surprising and delicious.

really something. great bottle. slightly sharp on the tongue. fresh and bright.

Maybe 2015 ish. Surprised this is still very good
