It’s spring time and this weather calls for a lovely light fruity red burgundy. Savigny Les Beaune is a lovely yet underrated appellation and when going for the right domaine you are in for a treat. Domaine du Chateau de Meursault is definitely such a domaine, producing both lovely reds and whites! This light red burgundy from the 2013 vintage is full of red berries, cassis, a touch of wet forest floor and hint of fresh red cherries and raspberries, the body is medium, acidity is fresh and finish is a delight. Recommend pairing is sun ☀️ and some fresh goat cheese. My score 88, drink to 2022

Bright ruby in color. Black cherry and smoke on the nose. Smoke, almost meaty mid palate with layers of rhubarb, plum and spice. Decanted for 30 minutes and now it just sings. Vibrant, yet delicate. Love it!

2012 vintage. Pale ruby. Wild strawberry, cranberry. On the palate, lovely fresh acidity highlights the fruit forward style. Red fruit profile. Easy drinking. Good finish. Enjoyable. Keep 3-5 years.

Château De Meursault Savigny-Lès-Beaune Rouge 2017: Medium-bodied. Great acidity. Light tannins. Elegant red fruit aromas. Palate notes of strawberry, cherry, earth, smoke & oak. Delightful smooth finish. For me, this wine was a true winner; great balance & lovely fruit. Loved every sip! Wishing everyone a great Wine Wednesday! Cheers🍷

Delicious, beautiful fruit, great terroir. Needs time to open up. Will be extraordinary with time in the bottle. Excellent expression of Côtes de Beaune!
