Dundee Hills Pinot Noir

My benchmark for Oregon Pinots. Under-rated. 2012.

On the nose, spice, roses, black cherries and plum. Layered spice, white pepper, dark cherries, blackberry and youthful tannins.

Overall, this was distinctly average. Nice nose, but the palette was nondescript. Lots of cola, slightly tart, and not much else. I expect much better from this winery.

Well composed top end Pinot out of Oregon. This is the 2012, I would let it sit another couple years, but it was there to be had so ...

Perfume. Minerals. Cloves. Dried cherries. Hint of peppermint. Bright, concentrated, firm. Tasted from half bottle. Lovely as always.

Great to taste alongside the drouhin lineup. Bright red cherry.

Tonight I am going with another Pinot Noir. I feel I am getting into a Pinot rut so this I promise will be it for a little while, but what can I say, I love me some Pinot. Well the nose comes on with good notes of black cherry, cranberry, allspice, clove, earthiness and floral notes of lilac. On the palate the black cherry comes through with notes of pomegranate, good tannins with green vegital notes, oak which all blends together very well in a full mouth feel.

Intense aromas of violets and red fruits. Lovely cherry cola action on the palate.

#IPNC, Domaine Drouhin 2012 Dundee Hills Pinot Noir

Интенсивность средняя, явная животина, клубника, специи, Клюева, брусника, кожа. Классика PN. Сочное, сухое, лёгкое, танин средний но не мягкий, кислотность средняя плюс, свежо, молодо. В целом симпатично, я бы забыла лет на 10.
