Fixin Pinot Noir

Dark deep purple in color, consistent with its northenmost origin in CdNuits; a sweet perfume of white flowers is first impression on the nose followed by strict red medium-ripe cherries; taste is full and structured with prominent tannins and a youthful fruit-driven finish with hints of oak. Tannins and high acids: might be more exciting in a few years.

Beautiful. Stemmy, raspberry, black tea, and graphite. Modern wine with roots.

Quite highly extracted. Very dark. Dark cherries 🍒, cola, blackberries. The wine strikes me as a compromise to not offend anyone. Closer to Oregon Pinot’s than Burgundian. Not my style.

Higher acidity. Rugged, bready/earthy. Licorice, tar, pepper, lighter/green fruit. Medium bodied.

That’s a prime Tuesday night bottle, on Monday. Fun, bright, evolves. Roast a chicken, roast some veg, rip some baguettes.

Possible anniversary contender

Fait presque penser à un Gevrey pour le côté épicé. C’est vraiment délicieux, très équilibré .

Succulent sour cherry. Deliciously drinkable!
