Young Beaujolais. Nice acid and good red fruits. Enjoyed with chicken liver salad, quail (new dish at Le Coq Rico), mushroom and spinach fricassee and chocolate profiteroles. Nice nose with a little funk that burned off to a pleasant funk after 15-20 minutes. Light body and pretty color. Worked really well with the livers, as the acidity balanced the fat / richness of the liver. Also worked well with the savory / saltiness of the quail, raised on the North Fork of Long Island in a progressively pastured methodology. Note: another good Louis/Dressner import.

Not AS light as a lot of Gamay but was at Buvette with Inez and Barb and Inez saw a woman wearing pink converse stilettos and said "turn around to see the ugliest shoes in the world!" And the girl DEFINITELY heard.
