Châteauneuf-du-Pape Red Rhone Blend

2012 drunk in 2024. Still fresh with a bit of fruit, but not much body or depth to speak of.

CdP inside and out. Lovely violet and lavender bouquet with some pepper and red berry notes. Quite smooth drinking, medium tannins and acidity. Some warm spices. Quite fruit forward and food friendly.

Rich, sexy nose leads a dark, brooding and brambly CdP punching way above its weight. Kirsch and stony minerals. Superb and great PV!
This was my 1st Coravin, wondering if any of you have seen this tiny leakage on cork. Did I inject too much Argon? When I opened the bottle 2 days later the pressure was high.

The fully brown color when poured had me worried, and this was past peak but still drinking fairly well. Leather and prunes all the way.

Woah! Grenache based (64%) but the (15%) Mourvèdre influences big. Juicy, sweet red fruits... old fashioned cherries and crushed raspberry, cranberry. Touch of cedar and gravel, fresh black pepper. Layered, elegant, opulent.

Warm baguette with whipped butter and lemon. Artichoke, green tomato, grilled pineapple, smoky hog jowl on greens, pretzel dough, basil and capers are bursting from the glass in gaseous form. Medium mouthfeel, buttery and olive-briny, white mushroom, flat-citric lemon oil bordering on curd, and yellow wax beans with water chestnuts and almonds. Nice acidity keeps tho one from becoming sluggish. A full, round mouthful, with plenty to contemplate. Mostly Grenache. Opulent and juicy with lovely spice.

This CNP is so authentic to the region Ann's beautifully crafted. Medium extraction; well blended; drinking very nice. 2012 vintage. Brings joy to my mind. Merry Christmas and Happy Chanukah to all!

Grenache based. Aromas of red raspberry, spice, tobacco and cigar box. Lucious palate with notes of tapenade, raspberry, cocoa and spice.

Starting to show some brick coloration, lovely telltale cherry and raspberry confiture from Grenache component, a little sousbois, and moderate, silky tannins. 2005 vintage.
