I always like to go back to the Loire Valley in the summer when I'm looking for a good white wine to have. I have opened the 2010 Vouvray Vigneau-Chevreau Sec Cuvèe Silex. Chenin Blanc at its best.
On the nose it has that prominent Chenin Blanc aromas pineapple, baked apple, creme brulee, honey and saffron.
On the palate there is ripe pear, lemon curd, ginger, jasmine, honey and brioche.
This wine is medium bodied with a smooth saline mouth feel and medium to high acidity that leads to a medium to long finish. It definitely is starting to get that age quality to it but still has a long way to go. Enjoy your week and stay safe. Nostrovia! 🥂🥂🥂🥂

Vintage 2015 Moelleux. Yes, way too young, wil probably be a beautiful aged wine by 2025... great balance, sweetness and acidity don't quarrel but are complementary. A potential 90+ wine. At Carelshaven in Delden.

The honeysuckle aroma is very misleading and weak compared to the body of the wine. Zippy burst of lemon verbena and stone fruits especially unripened peach. The mouthwatering acidity gracefully presents the beautiful Loire minerality. The finish is green apple, grass clippings, and French white pepper. -2012 vintage
