clarity and straightforwardness thanks to the chilly alpine air and rocky vineyards. perfumed, medium-bodied, crisp pear-scented altesse. (was told this was the las vintage from this vineyard, which has me bummed)

Aromatics and front palate similar to riesling but with a distinct phenolic bitterness on the finish that toppled the balance =/

This was a fun find the other night...at first we didn't think it really tasted like much of anything...but then, as it opened up, its flavor really developed. Floral notes and honey. Not sweet, not too acidic. Very drinkable. Low alcohol. Paired very nicely with pan roasted trout a la meunière and sautéed brussel sprouts.

So here is the deal. Gamay. Love it at this price point and juncture. A bit tight. Unripe pineapple. Bizzaro right. Or green papaya from our friend from the penal colony down under. Red sauce and oregano.

I don't have much of a gram of reference. Started off with stone fruits and then faded into crisp apple. Very Viognier like on the nose, initially.
