Bright salmon color. Racy aromas of acacia flowers, cantaloupe and citrus. Beams of peach, blood orange and strawberries are carried by a well balanced acidity. Lighter than I would have expected. It closes taut with a mineraly echo.

Bandol hits my pleasure spot every time. Love them young, love then aged, whenever is fine with me. This is much more relaxed than previous bottle. Lovely deep black cherry fruit, sweet meat, fresh lavender, thyme, black licorice, smoke, candied olive, granite. There's this sweet and appealing aspect to the herbaceous notes in this, its so savory and alluring. I'm floored by the tannin profile right now and how vivacious they are.

I identified this blind as Mourvèdre. Funk, brett, kirsch and garrigue. Herbaceous red fruits.

A decade in and just starting to unfurl into the tertiary zone. Good, will be better in 3-5 more years. Mourvèdre is a tough grape to break through to the mature zone given its natural resistance to oxygen. #bandol
