Perfect pop n pour Chinon

Quite the personality. Came out swinging, almost top heavy, dense, dark and almost threw me off with its vinous CF elements. So juicy! After some air it eased up. Perfumed herbal scents and graphite mixing with wild raspberries and sour black cherry. Classic Chinon perfume and freshness.

A little bright out of the gate, so decant. No oak on this so lots of smooth red and black fruit. Very enjoyable and paired great with a roast chicken. Twin top. SS

Little bit more extracted than most chinon I've had. But great cab franc character. Dominated with some beef sliders. Good wine for post "wine test" discussion :)

Decant for 30 minutes. Wonderful fruit. Soft tannins. Bright acidity. Another wonderful SommSelect offering. A steal at $19. Actually enjoyed with pizza.
