Nose of dried cherry, plums, worn leather, pepper, and a hint of cedar. Flavors of dried cherry and plums are complemented by tertiary cigar box and leather. Medium tannins are mostly resolved, with the fruit hanging on nicely. Drink now and over the next 2-5 years.

Red and black crunchy fruits. Lots of rounded tannins. Rich oak treatment. Very well made.

Precise, ripe, a pinnacle of merlot and cab franc. A masterful treat...even before I found myself across the dinner table from Stephane Derenoncourt as he described the importance of limestone in his vineyards.

Graphite, cocoa, roasted citrus peel, and red fruits. Pleasant for its price point. Quick finish. One act.

Grassy divot, chocolate covered cherry, wet, smoldering forrest, wet mushroom, beef char, and candied violet aromas fill the glass in this inky purple-black wine. Medium mouthfeel, tightens into an medley of cranberry, blackberry, black currant, black olive tapenade on dark toast, dark cocoa covered coffee grounds, all tightly wound into a fruit tannin heavy, schisty almost crystalline iron and mineral grip. Might need a few more years to really shine, but definitely pleasant. Love the austere finish. This Iron Lady keeps a stiff upper lip!

Wood scents and menthol over ripe red berry jam, gun powder, cocoa. Full-bodied with molten tannins, warmth and physical presence. It may lack the impetuosity of the early days, seems to be ageing gracefully.
