Drinking well now. Got all the components of a great grand cru just lacking some "wow" factor.

Acidic and in a way "charmless" but it's showing grace and elegance as well. Was it better 5 years ago or will it add mid palate depth with further ageing? Questions...

Le bois n'y est pas pour rien ! Encore jeune.

This was a great drinking Burg that was intense & tightly wound showing notes of tart cherry, berry fruits, forest floor, wild herbs, rose petal with nice balance & length.

Others have written more elegantly about reduction in Red Burgundy. I remain very disappointed by my continued experience with diethyl mercaptans and high-end Burgundy. Not fun.

This was structurally integrated, open aromatically, and had flashes of complex flavors like cumin and mushroom, but lacked a wow-level transparency or purity. Still fun and interesting to drink with a friend!
