Blend of 50% Grenache, 25% Syrah, and the rest Mourvèdre, Cinsault, and Counoise, Ruby with aromas of berry fruits, oak and sweet spice. On the palate flavors of raspberry, cherry and blackberry with hints of oak, leather, vanilla spice and black pepper. Aged in oak the wine was complex and elegant with smooth tannins, long spicy finish. Nice!

Classic example: I'm pairing this with beef braised in pear with charred scallion sauce on our tasting menu.

It's no chateau fortia but you could do a lot worse.

Black olive, fig, plum. Rich & robust at 10 years. Can't wait to open another bottle in 10 more years.

Lovely wine! Robust complex and rich. This is a solid Chateauneuf du Pape, still very young and needs time to open up, deep dark red, lovely notes of light barnyard, sweet spices, tar, earthiness, black berries, smoked cedar and mint, robust structure full body with firm tannins, dry and rustic, excellent acidity and a long chewy finish. I wish I bought a couple more to try in the next decade. My score 90. Drink from 2016-2024
