An incredible treat. Decanted for 5 hours and enjoyed over 2. Incredible aromatics that showed off the whole cluster/stem inclusion. Depth of palate and unparalleled length and texture. Soy, citrus, cherry, herbs, pomegranate

Wow--so shockingly aromatic in a wacky vintage. No typical juiciness or weight but enticing all the same.

DRC Richebourg 1971, in jeroboam: fully mature, but incredibly still fresh and vibrant and concentrated, with serious complexity, highlighted by notes of soy sauce and dueling sensations of cedar and forest floor. This bright, medium-to-full bodied star didn’t fade over the 90 minutes of dinner, and its finish trailed off into a seeming eternity. A top 5 wine of my life.

Pungent ripe fruit typical DRC style with violet, mild spices. Well concentrated with good support of super fine tannins and acidity. Long finish and slight drying from the youth. Can keep for another 10 years.

nothing better than a lil' red #wine with yer pasta. Intense, beautiful nose of red fruit and beetroot, joined by a touch of smoke. A powerful, balanced, near full-bodied Pinot which will improve for decades.

A bit tight. Would always decant but it still never really got to that point of DRC erotic hedonistic pleasure for me
