Found a decent priced bottle deep in Bandon. Decanted for 2 hours. Beautifully perfumes nose of red fruit, spice but the palate and finish was muted. Opened up slowly over 4 hours. Starting to show it’s darker characteristics. But still elegant like true as DRC. Saved a glass to try the next day and it eventually balanced but kinda disappeared.

Little funk on the nose initially, but burned off quickly and then gorgeous, earthy notes throughout.

Excellent. But needs some time - still very young. A bit more sappy than the 2008 (drank the same night). Dark cherries, concentrated, richer mouth feel.
