Shy on the nose with little stewed current notes and plenty of dried flowers. Fresh acidity and polished tannin drink now till 2020

Worried at first by tart finish but blossomed in the glass after 5 minutes. Delicious

Bottle #1.... ooh! Another very pretty nose. Soft and super pretty. Great balance. A little less supple and beautiful than its sidekicks

1991 vintage in magnum - from La Combotte in Nuits St George. Took the empty glass of Aubert de Villain from his table after he left. Beggars can't be choosers. Very earthy, manure, salty, and black fruited. On the palate, quite round. Medium acidity, medium plus concentration. Long finish but not excessively so. Very good but not a stunner. Drink now until 2030+
