A bouquet of floral and eucalyptus and dark lightly cooked red berries on the nose. Silky smooth rolls off your tongue. Luscious cherries. Quickly ending... very feminine not gripping perfect balance of fruit and acidity.

Floral, persistent flavors. Pure red fruits. Extremely elegant. As it opens up it has a driving minerality and slick structure.

Green fig and strong herbaceous notes on the nose. Palate of ripe berries with extremely balanced acidity and a slight smoky note in the background. A fine and elegant introduction to the DRC family!

The FdM bottling were solid, good value wines. When DRC took over and the price went 10X I had my doubts. The proof is in the bottle.

2013 vintage. From Jay. Domaine de la Romanee Conti Corton 2013 - Quick Note/Initial Thoughts: Elegant ruby colour. Lively on the nose. Predominantly showing red fruits. Slight undertone of aniseed. Gentle sweetness on the mid palate with nicely structured tannins. Finish is excellent for a Corton with a slight bitterness at the end - probably driven by the stems showing at this level of the wine's youth. 91+ / 100. Drink 2020 to 2030.
