Vin Jaune 2006: still green but with yellow fruit, pear, apple. Less expressive. Good soft fruity notes, rounded and gentle. Lacks the layers that the 05 has. 92

Vin Jaune 2005: quite a forward Fresh green notes, Apple, minerally, chalky, very Fino esque. Lots of finesse, delicacy, but well integrated with the yeast and oak and nut. Almonds, and savoury notes on the end. Very good. 94 freshness mark the year

Exceptional Vin Jaune 💛

Savagnin aged in oak under a veil of flor for 6 years and 3 months as required, plus a few extra years in bottle. Elegant, complex nose with aromas of hazelnuts, spices, sourdough and a hint of caramel. Dry, mineral, balanced. Green apple, loads of hazelnuts and a very long finish. Should have bought more.

Baby vin Jaune. Cheesy, fleshy, applesauce, a bit of mineral—gone too fast! One to remember.

Deep golden color, super intense aromas and palate with lemon, hay, nuts, dried fruit and curry. Razor sharp acidity.
