Clos de la Grand'Cour Fleurie Gamay

Took three years to come around, but finally open for business.

Singing the day after. Opened too young. Best Beaujolais Gamay I have ever had.

Plummy. Cinnamon and heavy clove. A little meat pie thing. Broad and ripe, a little brothy. Not too extracted, but missing freshness/ minerality. Disappointing; was expecting based on reviews to like this more. Could be bottle variation, there was definitely something microbial going on.

Heresy < 9.0 per @Ted Corvey - but didn’t move the needle

Wonderful floral aromatics. Taste was lively and fresh with good minerality. A little funk on the finish as well.
Raspberry and violet notes.

Delicious. Tastes a bit more restrained than recent warmer vintages like 15 and 17.
