Vieilles Vignes St. Joseph Marsanne Roussanne Blend

Showing some secondary finally! Woo hoo. Nose has honey, some nuts, huge granite, spice, some plantains, other yellow fruits. Perfumed. This has gotten so so good. Elegant and so so nimble. Beautiful balance, complexity and purity. Juicy and long. Really elegant. Wow.

Been a minute since I’ve had the 2015. Big, mineral and tropical nose. Terrific fruit. Palate is exquisite as always. Fresh, dense and pure. Lovely balance and texture with yellow fruits and an excessively mineral finish that is so persistent. Such a great wine.

Now, even though I’m more of a Roussanne guy than a Marsanne guy, this is really good. Lots of wax and lanolin on the nose. Bitter pear fruit. Soft in the mouth with good intensity, very clean finish. Medium acids. Very good value.

I love this wine and the '15 is gorgeous. Crazy Marsanne minerality. Tropical and a hint of sweet iodine. Palate is rich deep and complex and in need of air. So much depth and sappy fruit. Finishes with excessive minerality. So pure. Needs mad air. Will report back.

Rewarding myself in the backyard after a productive day (yard work, bought my daughter a solid used 🚗).

Deep gold color. Fat nose packed with lanolin, bitter-sweet pear, honeysuckle, and dark minerals. Oily-textured (in a good way) and powerful in the mouth, but with great balance and depth. Long finish.

I bet this changes over the course of 24-48 hours.

Wow. First 15. Insane length. Jesus.

Wow. This has aged beautifully.

Nose : apricot skin.

Palate : apricots. A hint of unctuous ness. Really delicious. Nectar. Kiss of honey.

Don’t drink this now. Day one was hot and bludgeony. Left it in the fridge. Day three is great. Nice nose. Petroleum and nice spice on the palate. Delicious fruit. Wait until 2020.

2015. Nose: lychee, cantaloupe, honeysuckle, fresh air. Sweet and savory with a little funk and smoke.

Wow. Insane. Nose is a fruit mineral blast. Palate is awesome. Mineral. Medium ripe fruit. Acids are zingy up the yin yang. So bright they could wake the dead. Blind id guess really well made hermitage Total steal at this price. I bought a case. Too little. Fass selections.
