Hot damn. Gorgeous old Grenache. With a touch of Syrah.

Had this wine with a classic french red meat dish, wine is close to its prime. Balanced acid, fruit and tannins with decent mouth feel.

Wonderfully fine and floral mulberry and dried flowers, great acidity and depth.

Full rating to come but on initial opening, it's a little brighter and lighter than I'd expected based on what I've read about the 2015s. Great purity, acidity balanced with red and blue fruit. Has a touch of a woodsy element but in balance. Really great on opening and this is the basic CdP. Can't wait to try more of these 2015s.
