(**) balanced, surprising presentation of Sauternes semillon in a dry style. Tasty.

Bastille day French wine of course, I liked this but I feel it was holding back just a little but, I would have to think mostly because of the majority Semillon so it might need a few years to unfurl more grape expression.

Very Americanized. New oak prevalent on the palate. Okay, but nothing great.

This Bordeaux Blanc Sec is a classic blend of 70% Sauvignon Blanc and 30% Sémillon, and is quite a steal at less than $20 per bottle considering it's from Domaine de Chevalier. Fragrant floral notes are rounded out by rich aromas of shortbread cookie, pear, honeydew melon and a hint of freshly mown grass. Full-bodied with medium acidity, lovely toasty notes bolster a core of sweet fruit. Mineral accents and candied grapefruit show through on a lengthy, meandering finish. 13.5% ABV

Very nice even if new world-y. Searing acidity throughout. Pineapple, floral notes and new oak immediately apparent. Pear and apricot after the wine aerates for a bit. On the finish, candied citrus fruits and minerals.

Really love this. Needs to aerate for awhile but nice apricot/fruit.

Нос - сухая пыльная земля в оцинкованном ведре. В первом вкусе подгнивший абрикос, быстро проходит. Короткие минералы. Затем довольно долгая сдержанная горечь графита. В конце неожиданное кислое яблоко.
