La Lande Cavagnac Cahors Malbec

Dense dark fruits, green pepper, barrel char, earthy. Kind of non-descript overall.

Not as fruity as South American Malbec. . This had a lot of character. Plums, pepper and a little tannic. Full and rounded. Very good wine.

Not a great example of Cahors

Deep purple color.
Aromas of cassis, blueberry compote, licorice.
Dry. Flavors of licorice, black pepper, cassis, blackberry, tar, clove. Rich, firm tannins.

Well balanced and very enjoyable especially at the $14 price point. 92pts by WE. I'd say that is the high end of the window for this but definitely a solid 90 given the price point. Definitely worth trying.

A nice, well aged Malbec

Dense, complex flavors of oak, fruit and some tang.

wet blanket, flamin’ hot cheetos, beet residue, stolpman injustice, kar krash sentiment, crude oil meniscus, belt leather, u name it, catholic residue, pants, forcible thunder, incandescent cake flesh, tire fire

Jam jam jam. Pretty heavy, but smooths out when left to sit a bit. Very nice.
