La Sabarotte Cornas Syrah

This is settling in nicely, the terroir is beginning to show through the winemaking and becoming more truthful to Cornas. Oak and extraction are integrating nicely. Granular tannin, firm mineral feel on the back end. Blackberry, olive, beef blood, fur, cast iron, leather, ash, forest floral, autumnal.

Still wayyyy to young. A raw and bad ass cornas

Beautiful nose, black fruits, huckleberry, olive tapenade, really soft, plush texture...slight bitterness on the finish but also nice and savory.

Gorgeous and very defined aromatics, in a second revealing its birthplace. Not overdone, this is a subtle interpretation of the wild Cornas appellation. The new oak is already integrated, and this varietally true Syrah is enveloping nicely on the spicy and clove infused finish. Thru 2026.

Really disappointing considering the price of this SV Cornas. Nothing about it says N. Rhone. All the wines from this producer were mediocre

Ready to drink, but no rush, it could easily go for another 5+ years. Delicious and well rounded, with a long persistent after taste.
