1997. Light gold. Mature sherry like hazelnut overripe apple nose. Winey, low bubbles. Even a touch of tannin on the finish. Great streamlined body. Complexity and nuance along with the solid structure. Impressive and interesting.

Good and mature, notes of hazelnut, brioche, dried apricots, bruised apple and cheese rind abound. Palate is still reasonably fresh with decent acidity, however a quite coarse mousse. Interesting to me, too funky for the table! 1997 vintage.

Rich, nutty, lemons and pie with its age clearly showing. Solid acidity keeps it all together. Good qpr.
