White burg perfection. Captivatingly complex aromatics with Coche fireworks on full display, layered with popcorn, citrus oils and white flowers. What texture on the palate. Incredible volume and density, particularly for the vintage, fills the mouth with vibrant energy and phenomenal length. So good.

Served blind. I nailed the vintage, even a broken clock is right twice a day. A spectacular nose of smoke, flowers and a dose of reduction. In the mouth, intensity and freshness . Minerals & green fruit that reminded me of Chablis to start but no way given the weightlessness. Waves of crisp fruit with exceptional balance. Most producers would be happy to make a premiere cru or grand cru of this quality. It might be an overused descriptor or cliché, but this was all about pureness. According to my friend purchased on release, and locked away. A reminder of how important proper storage is.

Apr 25th, 2024Man Coche just puts everyone else to shame. 2015 is just incredible, belying the warmth of the vintage with electric energy, racy acids and a texture that sets it apart, wrapping around the palate with tremendous density and depth to its layers. I want to smell its struck match-lemon custard bouquet all day. Still my favorite white wines along with Raveneau.
