Meaty and spiced start with rich combination of red and black cherry. Slightly firm in the middle, but otherwise very well balanced with a dense, intense finish. I’ve been on a good roll lately of 2014s that have retained their precocious fruit yumminess, and this is another example.

Black cherry, oak, spice, earth, tobacco right after opening the bottle. Later showing hints of lavendar, ginger, game and cardamom
On the palate, well integrated tannins, ripe black fruit and raisins

Rich and enveloping; first I've tried from this producer and it's certainly an enjoyable Pommard; just not sure I'd go back for a repeat.
Edit: spoke too soon; two hours in it was battle ready - gorgeous aromas and a body to remember.
