The 2019 Chablis Valmur Grand Cru was the standout from vat last year. Now in bottle, it displays brilliant delineation on a nose of yellow plum, wet limestone and light floral scents. The fresh, vibrant palate sparkles with energy and offers veins of tropical fruit that never impede upon the terroir expression. Impressive depth and length. Outstanding. (Neal Martin, Vinous, October 2021)

Honeyed-but-simple, as I try and try it again- it’s lovely, lovely wine. But it’s just not on the level of other Grand Cru Chablis that I’ve been lucky enough to have a go at.

Cork totally disintegrated. All butterscotch and oak, very little fruit. Not what I am looking for in Chablis. One bottle left, hoping for a better showing.
