The 2020 Chablis Vaillon 1er Cru, which was bottled just before the harvest, has an attractive bouquet with light flinty, earthy aromas. The palate is well balanced with orange pith and touches of mango, fine acidity and harmonious with a twist of bitter lemon that enlivens the finish. Fine length here. (Neal Martin, Vinous, September 2022)

The 2019 Chablis Vaillon 1er Cru has a gorgeous, intense bouquet of orange blossom, lemon verbena and light flinty scents, all beautifully defined. The palate is well balanced: quite extravagant for a Vaillon, yet tensile and edgy. It fans out wonderfully on the finish. Excellent. (Neal Martin, Vinous, October 2021)

Fabien says 2017 is virtually the same acidity as 2014 with the phenolic character of 2012.

I prefer the '10s over '11 and '12. And Chez Moreau's Vaillon always shows authority.
