The palate is well balanced, taut and linear, with great poise and nervosité, leading to an intense and very persistent finish. This will vie with the Valmur as best Grand Cru. Extremely reductive to the point of seeming oxidized. With decant the wine freshened up significantly and displayed briny, mineral character, depth, and length.

A few wines from last week’s 4th Friday event!
I am hit or miss on enjoying Chablis, but this is one of the best I’ve had in recent memory. And so youthful! Flinty, steely, and tightly coiled notes of lemon sherbet, limestone, honeysuckle, minerality on the backbone of ripping acid and pure, energetic fruit. Very good now. Aging glacially.
