Extremely reductive to the point of seeming oxidized. With decant the wine freshened up significantly and displayed briny, mineral character, depth, and length.

The 2017 Chablis Les Clos Grand Cru is a gorgeous, sophisticated wine. Exotic white flowers, mint, citrus and crushed rocks are some of the many notes that lift from the glass in a vivid, striking Chablis that speaks to finesse more than anything else. The intensity of the flavors is just remarkable, and yet the wine is light on its feet, gracious and incredibly inviting. The brisk, refreshing finish is sublime. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, January 2020)

A few wines from last week’s 4th Friday event!

I am hit or miss on enjoying Chablis, but this is one of the best I’ve had in recent memory. And so youthful! Flinty, steely, and tightly coiled notes of lemon sherbet, limestone, honeysuckle, minerality on the backbone of ripping acid and pure, energetic fruit. Very good now. Aging glacially. Thanks

Nice with some age attached to it. But it was also the last wine of an extensively vinous night... so no TN here; look elsewhere.

Medium golden color. On the riper side, rich and round style. But so intense and great mouthfeel with excellent mineral attack. Love it!

Pale gold color. Overripe apple, pear and nectarine. Orange oil, Meyer lemon and quite a lot honey. Lees contact, brioche, toast and biscuit. Very substantial chalk and limestone. High acidity, moderate plus alcohol, medium to full body. Round yet precise acidity. Very well made!
