Surprisingly dry and mineral, low on butter, not your average Burgundy Chardonnay. Took a while to open…. But rewarding eventually.

We made 2 mistakes with this wine: drinking it too young and not giving it more time to air. A couple of hours decanting would have been ideal. The wine cannot be faulted for either of those! When it finally opened, a very nice treat indeed, after initial herbaceous impressions dissipated. Lovely wine really.

Medium acidity, medium bodied with minerals, lemon peel on palate and loamy earth on the finish.

Lovely dark gold robe with golden reflections. The bouquet has earthy notes of undergrowth and subtle hints of honey. The palate is bursting with flavor and continuously evolving; from acacia and honey to caramel and vanilla and delivering a lengthy, vivacious finish.
