Poured into a decanter about an hour prior to service; enjoyed over the course of a few hours. On the nose, the wine is developing with fabulous notes of ripe and tart, mixed brambles, blueberries, figs, lavender, a touch of animale, black pepper, rocky earth and fine, warm spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium(?) tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long. This seemed to get younger the longer it was exposed to air. The Benjamin Button of wine, lol. Might even rate it higher down the road. Lovely with kofta on a Thursday. Drink now through 2045+. Thanks for the assist @Lyle Fass

Poured into a decanter about an hour prior to service; enjoyed alongside the 2020 “Le Geynale” by Vincent Paris, over the course of a couple hours. The 2020 pours a deep ruby/purple with an opaque core; medium+ viscosity with significant staining of the tears. On the nose the wine is developing with blackberries, black plum, fig, lavender, black pepper, bacon fat, Gaeta olive, dried green herbs and rocky earth. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long and sanguine. Compared to the Vincent Paris, this was slightly less perfumed, missing some of the high notes from “Le Geynale”. However, this had the base and blood of Chaillot, from which 100% of the fruit is sourced. Outstanding. Drink now through 2050. Thanks for the assist @Lyle Fass

Stunning. Nose is ripe blackberry, granite, super floral and pure. Unreal nose. Decadent. Young as fuck.

Deep, deep aromas, of blackberry, even some cassis, grilled meats and a fuck-ton of granite. Wild herbs galore and mad lavender. Just magic. The nose is a perfect 10. It might close down but right now it’s utterly profound. Palate is ridiculous. Density without weight. Nose is hitting all levels.

Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of a couple hours. For what it’s worth, this was showing its best after some air and I’d probably recommend at least a 30min decant if opening at this stage. The 2018 Cuchet-Béliando pours a deep ruby/purple color with a near opaque core; medium+ viscosity with significant staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of mostly ripe and some tart black and red fruits: blackberries, raspberries, purple flowers, black pepper, grilled meat, dried green herbs, rocky earth and gentle spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose though the black pepper is even more prominent here. The finish is long and tremendously satisfying. Another absolute beauty from Cuchet-Béliando. Drink now with patience and through 2048. Thanks for the assist @Lyle Fass

Very pretty. Lucid fruit. Good structure with a savory and animal element. Not too intense but very correct with black pepper and herbs. Good stuff

Usually perfect wine but this bottle was majorly closed. For 2 days. But the finesse, breading and class still shined through. Closed a 9.7.

Young and stunning. Hard to taste with so many older Rhônes.
