Terroir du Mont-Blanc Mondeuse

Another memorably great bottle of this. Just two left. Will I have the patience to allow them to reach full potential? Most likely not but so good now. I love the bouquet of violets, pepper, herbs and bloody raw meat

Holy moly I love this wine. Rush of violets and blackberries, potpourri, black currant, licorice, creamy texture but still plenty of structure.

Still lots of exuberant red and purple fruit, white pepper, woodsy tones, violets, some animal and herbaceous highlights. Continue to love following this wine as it ages. Structurally seems in a great place, not sure how much it will improve

Outstanding. Very unique mid pallet, needs a little time in bottle but has much more life in store!

Amphorae aged Mondeuse. Wow. Such a cool wine.

Domaine Belluard, Mondeuse 2013. Vin de Savoie.
Apparently Mondeuse is a relative of Syrah, and this ones been made on the slopes of Mont Blanc. Has the fresh tart fruit of a cool climate Syrah, elegant for sure, but nowhere near as dynamic as the unstoppable force that is the Les Alpes from these dudes; (Charlie pictured here regretting a slightly lacking£60 bottle to go with his popcorn.)

A real beauty.
