Domaine Badoz
Côtes du Jura Chardonnay
Raisin, black pepper and soft leather nose. Very light ruby color, firm and focused tannins, can taste stem (?) too. Actually lingering fantastic tannins. Soft red fruit... red currants not so ripe. Fun fun wine, definitely a great food wine with character.

Dec 8th, 2018First observation, the font embossed on the bottle is very nice-- in a very "awesome silent film caption curly serif" kinda way. Round and cozy in a black and white Charlie Chaplin capturing the "meaning of life" in a pathos and heartbreaking way while making you laugh. A touch of sweetness, a touch of sourness. A satisfyingly balanced post hotpot tipple. Purchased at tableWINE.

Dec 1st, 2017This was ALMOST what I was looking for. Had a lot of oak (vanilla) but not the level of funky yeast notes from a jura chardonnay that I had previously had. Reminded me too much of an california chard to ever buy again. Still was delicious, just not for me.

Nov 1st, 2017Colour: Transparent but not completely, bright yellow, slightly hay
Nose: Citrus almost 100% of the fruitiness here – not too complex, hints of unripe apples and pears coming, but not enough to smell properly. After a while also stone fruits coming through as a hint.
Palate: Young style, citrus and pears since the first sip, good acidity but not too much drinkable, nor too complex
(22nd October – The Sampler – South Kensington – Enomatic)
