Banger. 07 Charmes, from 100+ year old vines right across from Chambertin, is a fabulous rendition in this vintage, seductive and complex wafting a dark fruited and gamey bouquet laced with violets and black tea. The palate is superbly concentrated, detailed and impeccably balanced with a finish that keeps on going. A particularly youthful ‘07 Grand Cru red burg. Long life ahead!

Nov 3rd, 2023That gorgeous Bachelet gevrey nose- plush red and blue fruit with underbrush. Quite tight and a bit shrill at first but it relaxed with some air and had a light and precise palate. Focussed… very 01 in character. Great stuff

Jul 16th, 2022Tasted blind. Phenomenal bouquet that easily led us to Grand Cru Burgundy. I had the region being a Morey St. Denis GC and originally felt it was 2014 but changed my guess to 2010. Should have trusted my gut! The wine was shockingly open, so giving and not as primary as I would have expected. Superb density and finesse and so silky on the palate. Fantastic.

Apr 21st, 2021A jaw dropping nose. Iodine, rockpools, uni, deep blue fruit, blackcurrant, violets. Gorgeous depth and freshness with supple fruit and a bloody depth. So pure and poised. Loads of energy and vigor. Amazing
